An outdoor shower and barbecue area with natural stone
Stone can connect the shower, patio and outdoor kitchen visually. Each area still needs its own technical design.
Water and wet paving
Plan the water supply, drainage, access to fittings and winter preparation. The walking surface must suit wet barefoot use. A screen or stone wall needs stable foundations and support.
Barbecues and heat
Positioning, clearances and ventilation must follow the appliance manufacturer’s requirements. Decorative stone on an outer enclosure is not automatically suitable for a firebox or direct flame contact.
A coherent setting
Repeating a stone colour between the wall and paving connects the space, while timber and planting soften it. Plan services and penetrations before finishing the surfaces. Treat the photographs as inspiration rather than complete construction documents.
